Magazine Features, Sign Painting, and the New Year.

Welcome back from the holidays! I hope everyone had a great break and spent some quality time doing whatever it is that makes you happy. We've had a weekend full of exciting events that I'm looking forward to sharing with all of you.

Chelsea has been featured in the January 2016 issue of St. Louis Magazine! She sat down with Eric Berger to talk about the St. Louis tattoo industry and how tattooing has affected her life. You can check out a digital version of the article on the St. Louis Magazine's website or pick up a hard copy at one of the many businesses that carry STL Mag in-store or from their online store.

St. Louis native artist Phil Jarvis has traveled all over the United States and Europe creating hand-painting signs and murals, but he holds a special place in his heart for Cherokee Street. You may recognized Phil's work from places around St. Louis, such The Anheuser-Busch Brewery, Strange Donuts, Tower Classic Tattooing, and Grove East Provisions. We were incredibly excited to have him in the shop this past Sunday to work on our front windows. Thanks, Phil!

More of Phil Jarvis's work is viewable on his Instagram, as well as his website. To see more of his process, check out this short (4 min) documentary video from Once Films:

Come ride along with St. Louis local Phil Jarvis in the second film in our Spotlight Series. Sure he is a classically trained painter, but he is in high demand doing hand-lettered sign work for business that want that one-off artisan look and feel. Cafes, tattoo shops, tailors, the list is long. Fascinating to watch, Phil is one interesting dude! More About The Spotlight Series: We feel a kinship with those who let a passion for their work guide their lives. The Spotlight Series is a collection of personal vignettes that feature craftsmen, artists, and entrepreneurs.

With the New Year comes new goals (and new tattoos). What do you think of resolution-inspired tattoos? Would you get a tattoo to remind you of changes you want to make in your life? Why or why not? Looking forward to reading responses and seeing some of you in the shop soon!

Cammeron Donnelly (Cammeron Damnit) at Earth Alchemy Tattoo

Hi, everyone! It’s been an eventful week here at Earth Alchemy Tattoo.

On Monday, December 14, we had guest tattoo artist, Cammeron Donnelly (AKA Cammeron Damnit), in the shop killing it with his awesome tattoo skills. Cammeron travels around the country, but is currently based in St. LouisFor more of Cammeron's work, check out his Instagram @CammeronDamnit.

Thanks, Cammeron, for coming out to Cherokee Street and putting up with our antics!

We'd love to have Cammeron back in the shop, so click here to schedule an appointment with him!

Our in-house artists have been busy as well.  Creativity was king with this gorgeous teacup with a mountain scene by Jake Bailey. Chelsea Holloway expanded our minds with this farout monkey elephant hybrid based on the client's dream.

We also wanted to give everyone a heads up that we will be closed December 25, 26, and 27.  We will reopen and be back to business as usual December 28.

Finally, just a reminder that we have gift certificates available. Get a free $50 gift certificate for every $150 purchased!
