We currently have a booth openings for tattoo artists. We are a welcoming and laid-back group in St. Louis, Missouri, with a passion for tattooing and sharpening our skills through practice and community. Our shop is tattoo artist and woman owned and an inclusive and safe space for artists and clients. This is a position for a licensed tattoo artist only. Two LOCATIONs

Central West End:

Our Central West End location at 4530 Olive Street is in one of St. Louis' most iconic neighborhoods. This area is renowned for its historic architecture, upscale dining, and boutique shopping. It's also home to cultural institutions like the St. Louis Art Museum and Forest Park. The Central West End offers a sophisticated and vibrant atmosphere that complements our tattoo collective.

South City

Our South City location at 2809 Chippewa Street is in the Chippewa Park neighborhood and scheduled to open in March 2024. This area boasts a diverse community and a mix of businesses, making it a unique and eclectic part of St. Louis. It's known for its local events and festivals, which showcase the neighborhood's artistic and cultural spirit. We're excited to be a part of this thriving and dynamic community.

Both of our locations cater to their respective neighborhoods' distinctive vibes, providing exceptional tattoo experiences in these lively St. Louis communities.

As individual artists and businesses we value our autonomous approach to our work with shared resources and perspectives to help facilitate growth and connection. All of our artists are passionate and dedicated to what they do, and we expect the same out of every person in the space so that we may present a consistent and high quality experience for our clients.

WHAT WE OFFER

At Alchemy, we have a unique business model that prioritizes the needs of our artists. Our approach is a hybrid of booth rent and percentage, depending on the needs of each artist and offering the best of both worlds. We believe in keeping our clients engaged through frequent flash specials, and our solid marketing strategy ensures a steady stream of high-quality clients. With a strong online presence and a dedicated following, our appointments are in high demand.

As a member of our collective, you'll have access to various resources and support, including frequently updated website, and shop marketing through social media. Our scheduling software streamlines the booking process, reducing back-and-forth emails and ensuring clients stay informed.

We value and support each member equally. We believe in individuality and never engage in micromanagement. Our rental artists have the freedom to work their own schedules, with no obligation to stay for walk-ins or until the end of a scheduled shift. We trust in the professionalism and effectiveness of each artist in managing themselves and their clients.

To keep booth rates low, artists provide their own supplies. However, we do provide shared equipment, including a thermal copier, printers, and printing and stencil supplies. Additionally, rent covers utilities, and overhead operational costs, including front desk personnel to handle incoming clients and shop cleaning.

We also value transparency and access to education in the field, providing apprentices with a comprehensive, structured training program to ensure proper methods and procedures are learned. The program includes mentorship opportunities for our licensed artists, to help them shape the next generation of tattooers and provide opportunities for increased income, without the commitment and responsibility of taking on an apprentice alone. Participation is completely optional.
