Ready, Set, Heal: Tattoo Preparation & Aftercare Tips.

Preparation and Aftercare Made Simple

  • Tattoo Preperation

    Stay Fueled & Rested
Eat a good meal and stay hydrated before your appointment. Tattoos are best enjoyed on a full stomach, not an empty one.

    Dress the Part
Wear comfy clothes that give easy access to the tattoo area. Bonus points if they’re dark and loose-fitting.

    Avoid These

No alcohol or blood-thinning medications 24 hours before your appointment.

No sunburns on the tattoo area—protect your canvas!

  • Aftercare Instructions

Your tattoo is fresh art—here’s how to keep it looking amazing as it heals:

    Remove the Bandage
After 3–4 hours, gently remove the bandage with clean hands. Wash the tattoo with mild, fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water.

    Keep It Clean & Moisturized
Pat dry (no rubbing!) and apply a thin layer of unscented lotion or ointment to keep the area hydrated.

    Avoid These Hazards

No swimming, soaking, or direct sun exposure until fully healed.

Don’t pick, scratch, or touch your tattoo unnecessarily—it’s healing, not a fidget toy.

    Trust the Process
Expect some flaking and mild itching as part of the healing process. Follow your artist’s aftercare instructions for best results.
