Walk-ins are available Tuesday through Sunday at Alchemy Tattoo Collective in the Central West End. Stop by with an idea, choose from available flash, or talk with one of our walk-in artists about creating something for you that day.

Walk-in availability depends on the artists working and the type of tattoo you want, so calling ahead is always a good idea.

How Walk-Ins Work

  • First-Come, First-Served: Walk-in clients are served in the order they arrive.

  • Designs: You can choose from tattoo flash designs available at the shop or bring your own idea for our artists to create a custom piece on the spot.

  • Wait Times: Depending on the day and artist availability, there may be a wait. Feel free to call ahead to check walk-in availability.

  • Age Requirement: 18+ only; valid government-issued ID required.

  • Services: Walk-ins are perfect for small to medium-sized tattoos. For larger or more intricate designs, we recommend booking an appointment. We’ll still love you if you plan ahead.

Some of our artists only work by appointment. If you have a preferred artist, please visit their portfolio page to request an appointment directly.

  • Shop Minimum: Minimums are set by the individual artist. Please contact your artist directly to ask their minimum.

  • Final pricing depends on the size, complexity, and placement of your tattoo. Our artists will provide a quote before starting your piece.

FAQs About Walk-Ins

  • Can I choose my artist?

    Walk-ins are based on who is available that day. If you are hoping to work with a specific artist, we recommend contacting them in advance rather than relying on walk-in availability.

  • Can I bring my own design?

    Yes. Bring photos, sketches, or other references that help explain what you want. Your artist can adapt the idea into something that works well as a tattoo.

  • Can I get a custom tattoo as a walk-in?

    Yes, as long as the design can reasonably be drawn and tattooed that day. More involved custom work may need to be scheduled as an appointment.

  • Can I bring someone with me?

    You can bring a support person, although space in the tattooing area may be limited.

  • How should I prepare?

    Eat a full meal beforehand, drink plenty of water, and wear clothing that gives your artist easy access to the area being tattooed. Bring your government-issued photo ID.

  • Should I call before coming in?

    You don’t have to, but we recommend it. Walk-in availability can change quickly, and a quick call can save you a trip if the artists working that day are already booked.

  • Can I walk in for a large tattoo?

    Usually not. Large, highly detailed, or multi-session tattoos require more planning and drawing time and are better scheduled directly with an artist.
